Humane Society for Animals

The Humane Society for Animals is a no-kill animal shelter in Rogers, Arkansas. We help local families adopt dogs and cats, and also serve as an emergency transport hub for animals across the state and the nation.

Get to Know Us

Since 1963, we have helped more than 100,000 animals, providing shelter and adoption services, spaying and neutering, and community education — serving dogs and cats from rural Benton County. That’s 20,000 miles of roads!

Our facility at 1st and Nursery Road in Rogers opened in 2020. Since that time, we have sheltered about 85 dogs and 20 cats at a time. At any given time, we care for approximately 85 dogs and 20 cats. Each year, we take in around 800 dogs and help 400 of them find loving, permanent homes..

Beyond our local impact, we collaborate with communities across Arkansas and partner with organizations in other states to give animals a second chance. These partnerships allow us to place local pets in homes beyond our region, provide shelter for animals displaced by natural disasters, and assist with emergency transport and temporary care. Today, we operate a Transport Hub that serves hundreds of animals annually.

Most of our adoptable dogs and cats are strays that have been dumped or abandoned. Others come from local animal control agencies and from people in Benton County who can no longer care for their pets. We accept animals only from rural Benton County.
